Hi Uwe,
thanks for the answer, I know that meld is a external program :-) .
Maybe I should change my question to a feature request for gcmd:
Use additional arguments in gcmd, e. g. "%t" which will expand as arguments
for meld or other programs meaning "meld leftpane/file rightpane/file".
On Windows I use TotalCommander. It has a lot of arguments to customize
this.

Claudio

Are there other arguments than "%s" to describe what meld should diff?
E. g. diff same file from left pane and right pane?
This would save me from switching to the right pane, then selecting / marking a
file,
then switching back to the left pane and then start the differ.
As meld is an external program, (not belonging to gcmd), you always have
to mark two files for comparison. The marked files will be expended in
"%s" as arguments for meld.

Uwe
