It seems i misunderstood the problem completely, sorry ! Apparently the search
directory, once set in the F9 widget, becomes "sticky" (it will be remembered)
and with the next F9, will not be adjusted anymore to the pwd of the pane which
it gets launched from (as you said, once you used this the first time, and only
until gcmd is restarted).
That's a plain bug to me and it shouhld be fixed :D
