Unfortunately not yet. In my experience, not all combinations of phone and
controlling device are exhibiting the problem. I am currently in the process
of monitoring the hard way all data comm, hoping to catch the failure in
logs.
My bets are on:
- faulty serial (both sides)
- interference with charger circuits
which means I won't learn anything useful from the logs, but i might find
myself wrong.

Are you using gnokii as controlling software? What do you use for the serial
connection?
(If you are interested, my answers are "no" and "custom-built circuitry
translating TTL to/from phone levels")
