Hi Dinesh,

I know this is a gnokii mailing list, but from my experience i suggest you try out 'gammu'.
I was facing the same problems with gnokii and then i tried gammu. And now everything works !

So just give it a try.

Yes. Even smsd gets the messages off the phone but with many errors as
you can see from the attached logs. Version 0.6.27 has many more
errors then 0.6.22. Am I making any errors while building gnokii?

I have also noticed that new version of smsd locks my computer
occasionally (at least happened few times in two different systems).

I have attached logs of gnokii (0.6.22 and 0.6.27) and of smsd for
both versions. I hope you will be able to locate the issue.
