I am happy to hear that the new 1.1 has a screen section. But let me
take a different tack. I have raised this question before but I
raise it again because things may have changed.
I have a remote site (linux based) where I can load programs into
cgi-bin directory and of course load web pages that use these cgi-bin
entitities elsewhere. The problem then becomes what do I need to load
into the cgi-bin directory other than the OS Cobol executable?
Somewhere there is udoubtedly a Cobol runtime program. Is there a way
to convince the Cobol executable to look for this program in a
non-traditional place, like the current directory?
Alternatively is there a way to compile a completely stand-alone Cobol
program, given Linux as the host system?
