I don't think I can have any complaints with that. If you really need
CMYK, you are unlikely to put up with a generic colour definition file.
A good solution.

PS: wonder what would happen if you distilled RGB grops output through
ps2pdf with -dProcessColorModel=/DeviceCMYK ??
