The thingies you're referring to as "Zollzeichen" are
"typewriter quotes", not "Zollzeichen" (inch marks).
Of course you are right, the correct "Zollzeichen" would be u2033
(DOUBLE PRIME), right?
But: A short survey showed that everyone I asked uses " instead of ″.
I notice that there is a \(fm (foot mark) request, but couldn't find a
\(in (inch) or \(im (inch mark) request.
How do you write inch in an english text? \(fm\(fm?
The glyphs used to properly denote inches (feet, seconds,
minutes) are "primes", not typewriter quotes.
I will change that into:
Das „Zollzeichen "“ auf der Tastatur ist noch nicht einmal ein
Zollzeichen, den das sähe so aus: ″.
