copy file size limit?

Hi

Is there a size difference limit for copying files as there is for editing 
files?

I ran cfagent on a client machine and it would refuse to copy over a rather 
large (21k) hosts file.  There was no error message, the file was simply 
not updated.

When I deleted the local /etc/hosts and then re-ran cfagent, the file was 
then copied and the permissions reset.

Any thoughts?
