I did understand your question perfectly well.
That doesn't make your question smart, and insisting that it is

The answer is: there is no way that source produced claimed output --
the source was (obviously) trimmed. Here is the line that was
trimmed from it:
cout << "l=" << (void*)l << ", pch=" << (void*)pch << endl;
