I've just undusted that file a bit.
As I've said, I have yet to upgrade the build machinery to
recent autotools (Autoconf 2.59, Automake 1.8, Gettext 0.13.1,
and gnu-lib). Maybe I can work on this next week-end.
Upgrading to Automake 1.8 and gnu-lib should simplify a few
things.
