[iiwusynth-devel] Iiwu Ladspa link: Files

Hello again,

now the Iiwusynth / LADSPA link is working, documented and tested. From
my point of view this is ready to be included into Iiwusynth. But look
for yourself... A moderately complicated example is in the file
'setuptapedelay' (in the tar file), it uses a four-tap delay line, an
overdrive, a wah-wah and the freeverb3 plugin. Sounds even wilder than
it looks :-)

Three files are available for download:

Documentation (updated version)
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/millisampler/Iiwu_LADSPA_Link.pdf

The whole project directory (checked out from CVS this morning) with all
changes.
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/millisampler/iiwusynth_LADSPA_000_tar.bz2
This should be ready for compilation.

The (edited) Diff-file:
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/millisampler/LADSPA_PATCH.diff
This does -not- include src/iiwu_LADSPA.c and .h, they are only in the
tar archive.
The Diff file includes 200 lines, I hope that this is still manageable.
Most of them are DIFF overhead, anyway.

The project directory in the tar file further contains
- a documentation folder, with the 'manual' in HTML and pdf
- A folder with 'testcases' and example scripts (The 'testcases' are
used to test most of the error messages)
In my opinion they don't really belong into 'src/', maybe just delete
them.

Compilation is controlled through an option "--enable-LADSPA" from
./configure. The default is 'no', so there shouldn't be any significant
change to Iiwusynth when LADSPA is not needed. But if it is included by
default, then it should take only a couple more lines to make a new
LADSPA Fx unit, that provides the 'standard' chorus.

Regards

Markus
