Then try different options for buffer size and fragment number

Hi Markus and all,
as a general issue, would FluidSynth have an automatic way of adjusting if buffers so as to avoid clicks and dropouts ? It seems that it is a general enough issue, as we have found that on some SoundBlaster Live Value on Win32 systems, there are actually dropouts too, depending on the system load, etc... Wouldn't there be a way for the driver to notice that it is 'often' late relatively to the underlying system and adjust its buffers accordingly, maybe even adaptatively ? For example, notice that it is late, count the number of times it has been late in the last second, and if this is higer than a certain threshold (like 5 times), double the underlying buffer size.
Or do I have the wrong model in mind ?
