I've already tried to recompile the LADSPA SDK and Steve Harris plug-ins on
MacOSX
It is almost direct for Steve Harris plug-ins (some configure.am file has
to be changed a little, but i'm not sure Steve really include the patch
I've sent him in the past).
For the LADSPA SDK, there is little problem for the plug-in loader since
the "dlopen" API was not really supported. This has to be checked again now
using the current Fink project (fink.sourceforge.net) that contains a
"dlcompat" package.

Agree with that.
