Marcus will probably kill me for that... But well, dying as martyr for a
GNU cause is not the worst possible death ;-)

There is a number of people here who have worked on Hurd/L4, or intended
to, but now are mostly idling while waiting for the new design to
crystalize. On the other hand, many of you have little or no experience
with the existing Hurd on Mach.

I suggest that instead of waiting, people could play a bit with
Hurd/Mach in the meantime, maybe try to fix some problems you see -- to
get a feeling what the Hurd is really all about, where the limits of the
current implementation are, what needs to be fundamentally revamped,
what features should be preserved in any new design.
