Does anyone have an idea as to how Automake can be encouraged to look in the right place?AC_CONFIG_LIBOBJ_DIR needs support from both Autoconf and Automake, added after 2.59 and 1.9.6 respectively (patches from Gary, added around 2005-04-25). And yes, libtool.texi documents this for nonrecursive mode. You may easily work around this in the same way we did in Libtool: for file in lt__dirent.c argz.c lt__strl.c; do rm -f $file cp ltdl/$file $file done
So the only solution using released tools is to pollute the top of the source tree with copies of files. How unpleasant!
Is there any ETA for a new Autoconf release? Bob ====================================== Bob Friesenhahn address@hidden, http://www.simplesystems.org/users/bfriesen/ GraphicsMagick Maintainer, http://www.GraphicsMagick.org/
