There is a desire to add this to documentation, but we're not sure where it  
should be placed (see discussion)

printing refpoints in lily output:

Note that this explanation might need updating after Janek finishes  
reorganizing alignment interface (including, but not limited to issues 3239  
and 3254; expected to happen in May 2013).
