This is an unfortunate side effect of the Lynx source code using a
different version labelling scheme than the GNU standard (lynx2-8-2
rather than lynx-2.8.2). Since Francois needed to do some manual work
to set up his storage mechanisms, the version number was modified to be
2.8.3 rather than 2.8.2. I wrote him about this, and have even set up
an alternate re-packaged lynx distribution with standard GNU numbering
schemes, but the cat was already out of the bag. Let's just be thankful
for his work, and for the translations that will now be appearing...
