well yes - the underscore names are different because the functions differ in some respect from the POSIX definitions.
The rationale for all this is described in this new file. With this addition, the latest lynx builds with only 2 warnings!
hmm (that sounds like /W3 - the /W4 level might complain about 64-bit stuff)
