I'm sorry about the user experience. It cannot improve without your help.
Please help us improve it.
Have you confirmed that this is a problem with gnuplot? I believe by default
the Windows version of Octave you're using uses fltk by default. If Octave
crashes after a while, it's probably because it periodically runs
__fltk_redraw__. Can you try without this?
When Octave first loads, switch to gnuplot with the following command:
graphics_toolkit gnuplot
Do you still see a problem?
