Follow-up Comment #2, bug #45323 (project octave):
Hi,
Are you referring to text objects or annotation objects? While the latter is
not supposed to be influenced by zooming, the former is.
I am under the impression that the figure you attached is annotated with text
objects, which have their "clipping" property "off" by default (as in
matlab). Setting this property "on" will do what you want. Am I overlooking
your problem?
Now about "axis tight", AFAIR running this command will set axes set
"x(y/z)lim" as tight as possible and "x(y/z)limmode" to manual (as in Matlab).
Manually changing limits (by zooming) won't trigger any further automatic
magic (this is what manual means).
