Did the Octave installer default to the directory


C:\Program_Files_(x86)\Octave\Octave-4.2.0\


or did you select the directory containing "_(x86)"?

Also, what graphics toolkit were you using?  If one of the OpenGl toolkits (qt
or fltk), does it work if you use gnuplot?
