Follow-up Comment #25, bug #55187 (project octave): I think I found the culprit. In qt5-tools version 5.12 the Qt-people merged the tool qcollectiongenerator tool into the qhelpgenerator tool. ./configure checks for both tools and if qcollectiongenerator is missing the configure process believes that qt is not correctly installed and refuses to use it. The compressed buildlog is about 100k. What I try now is to use the qcollectiongenerator tool from qt4, but this cannot be a good solution.
