Dear Markus and John,

I install Octave with the installer downloaded from the alpha ftp page. I
tried it both on my windows 10 PC and windows 7 PC ( Chinese genuine
versions), they all have the same problem.

> I cannot reproduce the error. But it looks like this might be an issue
because Octave or the package doesn't handle that short file name don't seem
to be stored consistently in your file system.
