Follow-up Comment #13, bug #59451 (project octave): With your patch, function handles seem to behave compatibly when it comes to the tests in comment #8 and the simple test in comment #2. But many BISTs are failing (particularly many in test/bc-overloads.tst). Dispatching of overloaded function handles seems to be no longer correct with that patch.
