Follow-up Comment #2, bug #60334 (project octave): Do you have the ability to build Octave from development sources? I'ts pretty easy on Linux. There has been quite a bit of re-factoring on the development branch around the shutdown sequence for Octave, and I need to verify whether it has been fixed there already. If it has, then your one-line fix is probably fine for the stable branch (6.2.0), but shouldn't be propagated to the development branch.
