Follow-up Comment #11, bug #60334 (project octave): Rik: I agree with what you say about expecttations. I'm not sure what the reason was, but I recall having trouble with performing the shutdown actions in the destructor and (perhaps incorrectly) concluding that by the time the destructor was called it was already too late for some of those actions. Maybe it was not too late, but they were just happening in the wrong order.
