Follow-up Comment #9:

Maybe, this is a timing issue. I have pushed changeset
http://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/58e7df720752 to the default branch
(for next major release 7), which ensures that indexing is really finished
before the desired page is finally displayed in the browser.

I am closing this report but it can be reopened if this issue remains in
future versions of Octave.
