Follow-up Comment #13, bug #61024 (project octave):

To get past this problem, I can easily install libffi on my systems.  But at
some point it might be best if we were building our own?  Or if we came up
with some other way to ensure a proper and consistent set of build tools for
everyone using mxe-octave?
