Follow-up Comment #34, bug #60620 (project octave):
Hello, I found this bug report from last year. Could someone please summarize
how a user can solve the problem? The thread lists these so far, so please
check for accuracy:
1. Run Octave in GUI mode only not CLI mode.
2. If running in CLI mode, do not call "version -java".
3. Run self-built Octave with --disable-java, not precompiled.
4. Build libraries (?) with extra compiler flags related to stack protection?
(Unclear).
Are there other workarounds?
