Follow-up Comment #35, bug #60620 (project octave):
I could reproduce for the setup that Mike describes in comment #23.
The issue no longer appears if I increase the Java stack size (somewhat
randomly) to 4 MiB:
system('echo -Xss4m >> $OCTAVE_JAVA_DIR/java.opts');
Maybe Java reduces the stack size for *all* threads when it is loaded -
including those of OpenBLAS?
