Follow-up Comment #9, bug #44396 (project octave):

the comment #0 behavior is still present in Octave 6.4.0 with image 2.12.0.  

for compatability reference, Matlab 2022a produces:


>> in = [0,0,0,1,0;1,1,1,1,0;0,0,1,1,0;0,0,1,1,0;0,0,0,1,0]
in =
     0     0     0     1     0
     1     1     1     1     0
     0     0     1     1     0
     0     0     1     1     0

>> out = bwmorph(in,'shrink')

  5×5 logical array
