Update of bug #51884 (project octave):
Item Group: Incorrect Result => Matlab Compatibility
Summary: [octave forge] (image) bwmorph(blackNwhiteMatrix,
"thicken", 1) returns negated result (+ strange behavior at border) => [octave
forge] (image) bwmorph 'thicken' operation not matlab compatible

Follow-up Comment #24:
the original bug is fixed, but the incompatability with matlab described in
comment #14 remains with Octave 6.4.0, image 2.14.0, and matlab 2022a.
the bug report about 'thin' has been closed as fixed, it appears there's a
path forward to compatability. i've retitled and regrouped the bug
accordingly.
