Follow-up Comment #2, bug #62468 (project octave):

The problem should now be fixed. While doing that, I also simplified the body
of the function by converting the output of the integrand first to a
one-dimensional array, always work with this one-dimensional representation,
and only at the end reshaping back. Also, I fixed the error message if the
tolerance is not met.
