Follow-up Comment #8, bug #64982 (project octave):

I downloaded the fr_FR.ts file and I can also verify that just about
everything in the GUI is still in English.  I'm not sure what is going on.  I
can see from running make that the fr_FR.qm file is being created.  And I used
'make install' to install Octave locally rather using 'run-octave' script in a
build directory.  I also tried reverting fr_FR.ts to cset b870a8c28aaa from
November 2022, and making, and installing but the translations still don't
show up.

@Torsten: Do you have any idea what is going on?
