Follow-up Comment #1, bug#65134 (group octave):

Is this documented behavior?  All I see is that the Matlab online docs say to
create the query points using ndgrid or meshgrid if you want a grid of query
points and to vectors for a collection of scattered points.  There is no
mention of a requirement for the vector dimensions to agree or what happens if
they do not.  Am I missing something?  If not, then this difference should be
categorized as "undocumented matlab", not "matlab compatibility".
