Follow-up Comment #5, task #15419 (project octave):

A few minutes ago I just pushed the fixes to clean up the io package code
redundancy w.r.t. ods and xls spreadsheet functions.
An io-2.6.0 release should be imminent.
I hope we now can have a better start at looking how to integrate Table I/O
with it (or vice versa).
