Sounds like either a compiler bug in cw, or something
that passed both gcc and vc (not likely).  If you can
track it down, maybe we can put in a work-around?
What's in the simple theme that isn't in the default
theme.  Maybe you can narrow that down to something
particular.  One thing you might try is to unzip the
working theme, and edit it until it breaks :)
