Hi,
I'm just starting to use rdiff-backup, and I am noticing that the
backup size is larger than the original. This is my first run of this
backup, so I was expecting it to be about the same size.
Any ideas why this might be?
I'm running :
# rdiff-backup --exclude-other-filesystems --exclude-device-files ... ...
I think there is a cache directory in there somewhere, but that
probably doesn't account for increasing size.
We have several scratchbox environments and cruisecontrol inside them.
I think the 'exclude-device-files' should exclude device files in
them, and 'exclude-other-filesystems' should avoid their '/proc'
filesystems, I think.
I calculate the sizes using 'du -sk' and 'df -k'
Anyone have any advice?
Max.
