Okay, will try to shorten the cable and reduce the resistor value on
MISO...

I read all fuse and lock bits, they are all set to one. According to the
datasheet this is the normal/default value for the lock bits, and should
disable write protection (as it seems to be the problem as of now).
However, having all fuse bits to one is NOT the default value it seems !
Worse, this means that the bit "SPIEN" is therefore unprogrammed on my
chip and therefore (if I read the datasheet correctly?) does NOT allow
for, I quote : "program and data downloading". I assume thaty by
"downloading" they mean "write" ? If so, no wonder I can read the chip
at will but not write it ! :-O
Still, why are all my fuse bits set to 1 when they aren't supposed
to.. :-/
Hmmmmm, this chip is starting to drive me mad ;-)
