To develop a project for the 326, you should use the DK325.

The at43usb326 is a *ROM* based product (that's why it's so cheap).  To
develop a new project requires a DK with changeable memory.  The 326 DK is
just to show how the supplied firmware works as a USB keyboard.

Yes, Atmel supports both the 325 and 326.  Yes, you can develop anything
you want with these products - but the I/O's are designed for driving
keyboards and are not general purpose I/O pins like other AVRs.

I will be happy to answer your questions regarding these parts, but I
think we should move this discussion off list.
