You'd need to pick up the latest binutils (2.16 at least, 2.16.1 is
the most recent one), as these have support for the ATtiny2313
natively.

I'm not sure whether native support is already available in GCC 4.x,
possible it is.  For GCC 3.4.x, you need patches anyway.  Just search
the archive of this list, this has been discussed recently, or lookup
FreeBSD's CVSweb for the patches I added in my avr-binutils and
avr-gcc ports in FreeBSD.
