Just for the records: Before Bjoern gave me the
valuable -mno-tablejump hint, I was able to create an cross-avr-gcc3
package (with all of the FreeBSD patches included, especially the
newdevices patch for the 25/45/85 tinys) for Suse Linux 10.1 using
version 3.4.6. Parallel installation of the v4.1.2 package isn't
possible, due to my lack of SPECfile wizardry, and avr-libc needs to
be rebuilt as well.
Maybe this is of help for some random user desperately googling for
some current AVR-GCC 3 package for Linux. I once was in this
situation...
