I can't duplicate this with the current cvs.

BTW: while trying to duplicate this I found a problem with the no_tty 
update_progress method, which I think I fixed. Was getting output like this:

avrdude: Device signature = 0x1e9702
avrdude: erasing chip
avrdude: done.
avrdude: reading input file "test.hex"
avrdude: writing flash (242 bytes):

Writing | ##################################################avrdude: 256 
bytes of flash written


which is obviously wrong. 8-)
