Thanks for your comments,

Here are some random comments on using 1.2 and feature suggestions for next release. (A good release nonethless)

- when add an new entry, the fields used by biborb (display/hide) are rightly aligned; but if you modify an existing entry, not so anymore for the hided fields. - The article id seems to be a editable field, but it is not really editable (system show you empty message); why show it editable?

concerning the display (right aligned, id editable), it may come from your web browser. I use CSS it is more or less well supported. To my knowledge, everything looks "normal" with Mozilla, FireFox, Camino, Safari.

- I also found (maybe just me) article id plus a bunch of icons/text) are visually *distracting* when I browse large number of entries;

I would like to suggest to move it to the end of each entry (to the right); Within the string, move article ID to the end, may even an option to hide the display of article ID. The primary reason is that it is variable length, so it makes everything else jagged. For similiar reasons, the pdf icon or text should be the next to the end since some entries don't have pdf attachment

I think that the most "distracting" is he bibtex id. I update the CVS branch with a CSS hack to display a less attracting bibtex id... I also right align the biborb commands but not the url, pdf... It creates a function separation: on the left, the icons allow to get information about the article, on the right it is biborb action (edit/delete/add to basket/remove)

- feature suggestion: ability to highlight an entry that has been added to the basket, right now, it refresh the display, but nothing happened

highlight and change the + icon to a -. Sure it will be nice, but I fear I will need lots of coffee :)...

- feature suggestion: online backup. bibs entry are tedious to put in, nobody want to do it twice.

I don't understand what you mean exactly by online backup? when editing a new entry?

- feature suggestion: ability to edit raw bib entry.

I don't think it is a good idea because it may be source of edition errors and incompatibilities: what about unknown fields when exporting to bibtex? to html? The idea of the edition in biborb is to hide the BibTeX language, one could use any other language and biborb could deal with it. (assuming an XML transformation of the input file)
I think I will focus on how to add fields in biborb in a convenient way.

What do yo think about it?

All the best
Guillaume
