Whenever I use the minibuffer in an auctex buffer (e.g. to compile or view a
file), the frame height shrinks by approximately one line. (I'm using emacs in
a graphical KDE environment; see below for more specifics.)
The same happens if I switch from another buffer to an auctex buffer (by means
of C-x b); or simply move to the minibuffer and back to the auctex buffer
without actually performing a command.
I'm not a 100% sure that this is indeed an AucTeX bug. However, I have
reproduced this behavior even when my .emacs file is not loaded, and when
auctex was the only non-standard package installed.
Is there perhaps a hook run on entering an auctex buffer that may cause this
kind of behavior?
I'm running Auctex 11.84 on KUbuntu 9.04 with GNU Emacs 23.0.91.1 (i486-pc-
linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.16.0) of 2009-04-05, modified by Debian.
I'd appreciate any help you may be able to give, as this behavior is making it
impossible for me to edit tex files using emacs.
Sincerely,
