    I thought that alpha.gnu.org were 'work in progress: do not use'.
Obviously I was wrong.

    I'm a developer too, and one of my biggest problems is that:
betatesting. Usually my friends test my software, but for complex
projects that's not enough.

    I try my best to test all the software I use, to report bugs and
(if I can afford it) to provide patches. In fact when I have access
to a 'crash test' machine, I test all the beta software I can. In my
production machine I just use releases marked as stable or at least
releases that are not marked as dangerous ;) I've downloaded 4.2.19
and I'll install it as soon as possible.

    The less I can do for the free software I use is to make free
software myself (and I do that) and to help development and put a bit
of interest on it. I really like findutils, and although I don't have
the time to follow the new releases, please tell me if you want me to
test anything: I have a do-it-yourself Linux box and since findutils
are pretty harmless I can test whatever prerelease you want. Just
send me the tarball whenever you need testing or drop me a note with
the tarball location. I will very happy to help.

    And sorry for my English, be sure that my Spanish is far better
