These are translations related to gnulib, the base POSIX layer that
FreeDink uses.

There's also:
  /usr/share/locale/<locale>/LC_MESSAGES/freedink.mo
with base engine messages (error messages, etc.).
This one is in progress and hasn't many translations yet.

These are game dialogs translations, searched at run time in the
'l10n' subfolder of the D-Mod that the user plays (in this case, the
main game).

A French, Dutch and Macedonian translations are in progress and will
be included in the next 'freedink-data' release :)

There is a German translation around, but:
- I was told (and also think) it's not top quality
- It was developed by Iridon Interactive to sell the game back in 1997
so RTsoft probably doesn't own the rights.
(So the best way is to join http://translationproject.org/team/de.html :))

These translations are specific to the game being played, and distinct
from the base engine translations above. The goal is that people can
distribute translations for any D-Mod separately (for example, here's
a Mystery Island French translation
http://dink-translation.beuc.net/dmods/island-fr.po). Of course it
only make sense to advertise them when the i18n'd engine is released
and deployed :)
