GS can support Unicode if the proper font is installed and selected.
GS distribution doesn't include Unicode fonts. AFAIK the complete
Unicode font doesn't exist.

A subset of Unicode font can be composed from existing fonts, but it
is a non-trivial exercise for a PS programmer.
