Hello!
autopoint depends on CVS being installed, apparently to download the
sourcecode, even if the correct version of gettext is installed.
Maybe you want to check for cvs only when the installed gettext version is not
sufficient.
And maybe you want to provide downloading of a tarball as an alternative?
wget, tar and gzip are probably more common than cvs.
