Chequer0 and Chequer1: set Opacity to 1 (slide to the right)

Light elevation 100 gives a 255, 254, 254 board (almost completely white)
But 80 (with 250, 250, 250) is, I think, the 'withest' you can go, if you
still want to see the color of the chequers (

Yes. GTK+ 1.2 (1.3 on Win32). If the GNU icon would be removed (or as soon
as there is a stable GTK+ 2.0 for Win) it would be OK though.

At first there is 'nothing' to display, thus giving that all black 'design'.
But I agree: would be nice to see the default gnubg setting instead
